Maddy Walsh

I have always had a huge passion for animals and in 2020 I decided to make it a full-time thing.

I left the corporate world and went to Unitec to study my favourite animal, the domestic dog. I stepped into a world where fanny packs were essential, smelly food was popular and I loved every conversation I was hearing and having. In January 2020 I also took on a part time position at Training Dogs for Life being an assistant in puppy classes. Yes, it is a dream job! In June 2020 I took an instructors position and have been teaching the classes ever since. At the same time I began working onsite at the Doggy Daycare facility out in Whenuapai. I learnt (and continue to learn) so much about dogs including how they interact, how to safely handle them, how to read body language and so on.

In November 2020 I began to do private in home consults for clients who had just purchased/adopted a puppy. This was done through Training Dogs for Life.  I started Paws in Line, January 9th 2021 with a focus on providing a high quality dog walk prioritizing enrichment and training for your dog.

As of August 2021 I went full time with my pack walking in Paws in Line and with personal consults. You can still find me teaching puppy classes on Saturdays otherwise I am at the forest having the time of my life with my clients.

I own three personal dogs. Two Chihuahuas called Daisy and Violet and a Field Line Golden Retriever, River.
